Yankee Candle Debuts on Broadway

The company's new New York-based design studio will now play a major role in the design, cost, and manufacturing of its products.

Yankee Candle is expanding its creative department by opening a new design studio on Broadway in New York City. The company’s creative team is based in South Deerfield, Massachusettes.

Patti Carpenter is the studio’s new creative director, and she will be resposible for creating custom products. As a fashion and textiles designer with over 25 years experience, Carpenter has worked with major players in the fashion industry including Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass and Ralph Lauren.

“This new design studio will allow us to continue to push the envelope in developing inspiring, unique and fashion forward design ideas, enhance intellectual ownership and expand manufacturing partner resources,” said Harlan Kent, chief executive officer of Yankee Candle. “Pairing the expertise and design esthetic of Patti Carpenter, with our extraordinary creative team will allow us to continue to support Yankee Candle’s brand strategy to deliver on distinctive home experiences for our customers.”
